Robson Square ice rink is one of the most popular ice rinks in Vancouver. It will reopen for winter 2022-23 in December 2022. Skating is free at Robson square. Ice skate rentals are available. Robson Square ice rink is located between Howe and Hornby streets behind the Vancouver Art Gallery. The rink is open-air, but also covered and partly underground meaning it can be used rain or shine.

Rentals for Ice Skating at Robson Square
There are ice skates and helmets available to rent at the Robson square skating rink . They cost $5 a pair until half an hour before closing (and each pair comes with a helmet). Ice cleats are also available to borrow for $2.
There is also on site skate sharpening at the Robson Square ice rink . Sharpening costs $5 when the service is available.
About the Robson Square Ice Rink
In Feb. of 2010 Vancouver played host to the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. In preparation for the games, the ice rink was revitalized, a new ice plant was installed as were two new glass domes, LED lighting and skate rental facilities. Following the Olympic Games, in December 2010, the ice rink reopened. The city has committed to continuing to operate the ice rink every December through February into the foreseeable future.
