Maan Farms is well known for its Haunted corn maze and scary attractions at Halloween! Maan Farms presents “Haunts” bringing four dedicated experiences: Homestead, The Way Down, Slaughterhouse, and Midway. UncoveringBC contributor Jennifer Pederson had the opportunity to check out Maan Farms for herself to see if its name of the Scariest corn maze in Canada still holds true!

Maan Farms Haunted Corn Maze and so much more!
Oh my word this place is nuts!!
A night of Spooky Haunted Fun is exactly what the Doctor ordered as I walked into the Fall season, so I grabbed my boyfriend, and did the Maan Farms Haunted Experience in Abbotsford.
I am all about Spooky things and naturally love a good scare – this place delivered!
Right away when I got to the Farm, I wanted to try out the Double Pumpkin Spice Cream. I had friends rave about how delicious it was in previous years, so it was a necessity to try before our excursions. The ginger molasses cookie and whipped cream paired perfectly with the spices in the cream and the presentation was Instagram worthy in a real little pumpkin “bowl”. I paired mine with a glass of Mad Jack Pumpkin wine for a perfect pumpkin treat.

There is a reason that Maan Farms Slaughterhouse is called the scariest corn maze in Canada. Oh my gosh I was not prepared for how scary this was going to be! I don’t want to spoil any of the surprises inside the Maze itself, as you need to experience this one with your own eyes, but it took a decent amount of time to go through and I was screaming throughout most of the maze. We walked through rows of corn that led into shipping containers where there were people and horror waiting for you everywhere you could see. I walked out at the end with a sore throat from shrieking and my guy’s arm slightly bruised from me grabbing him while inside. My tip? Take someone with you inside for moral support!

Homestead is an immersive experience where you have full interaction with the keepers of this haunted Airbnb. We went into the excursion with another couple and had a full contact experience that was not as scary, but very detailed and creepy.
I love the Indian flair that Maan’s puts in their dishes so before our last excursion, we grabbed dinner from the kitchen. Highly recommend the Naan Tacos with Mama’s Signature Green Sauce as well as the Traditional Butter Chicken. The Blood Bar offered Blood Bags full of their fruit wines and made our dinner Instagram-worthy as well!

Our last Haunt was The Way Down, a HOODED Haunted event. Dinner might not have been the wisest idea ahead of this one because as you head into the entrance of this haunt, they hand you a black hood for you to put on. You then step forward, grab ahold of the ropes, and immerse yourself into the dark journey to Hell. Another full contact experience that pushed me to my limits and had my dinner flipping in my stomach. For those of you unsure of this one? There is an option to get “OUT” should you need it and I only felt like losing the hood once or twice through this last Haunt. Fully a scary experience I won’t soon forget!
On the way out, one last visit to the Blood Bar was needed to calm my nerves with a Spider’s Web beverage, then outside for a couple bags of Mini Donuts – one for the walk to the car and the second for the drive home!

Check out www.maanfarms.com/pages/haunted for all the ticket details and available nights leading up to All Hallows Eve. Go quick though – some of the attractions, like Homestead, have limited nightly tickets available and I know they will sell out!
