Go Horseback Riding

Langley is the horse capital of British Columbia, so horseback riding needs to be at the top of any Langley bucket list. Whether you visit in the spring, summer, fall or winter, there is horseback riding in Metro Vancouver all year round on the trails of Campbell Valley Park.

Glen Valley Stables is a popular option for those looking for a trail ride. They bring the horses right to the park, so guests do not need to worry about riding on the road in order to access the Campbell Valley Park Riding Trails.

Picnic in the Petals at Mann Farms (Abbotsford)

This is an early September activity, but if you want to enjoy those last summer rays, come to Mann Farms Sunflower Event: Picnic in the Petals. Maan farms serves up delicious food, has a barnyard play area and seasonal events! One of the summer events is a picnic in their giant sunflower field!

Sip ‘n Dip at Otter Coop

The Otter Coop Outdoor Experience is the the best waterpark in langley and the most popular swimming pool in Langley all summer long!

The Otter Coop Sip n’ Dip is an adult evening event in September. Cost: $17.00 per person, including tax. Includes admission and one beverage ticket. Extra non-alcoholic and alcoholic tickets can be purchased on-site.

Advanced online registration is required. No drop-ins. Registration for Sip n’ Dips opens seven days in advance of each event.

You must be 19 years or older to attend this event. No outside alcohol or non-alcoholic beverages permitted. There are no in and out privileges.

Dates for the Sip ‘n Dip in September are: September 8th and September 22nd from 6:30-8:30

Stalew Pow Wow

The stɑl̓əw̓ Arts and Cultural Society ( Kwantlen First Nation land in Fort Langley ) is hosting their first annual pow wow at the Langley Events Centre. The purpose of our pow-wow is to celebrate Indigenous culture, traditions, music, regalia and art.  It is a time to celebrate and preserve our rich heritage and keep traditional ways alive. We welcome you to share in the experience of learning the important role tradition plays and how these traditions define Indigenous culture

Fort Langley Friday Night Market

Fort Langley Night Market is a community gathering to bring people together in an outdoor space like no other with play areas, vendors, music, food, beer & wine.

Every Friday (weather dependent) June 17th – October 7th, 5-10 pm at the corner of Glover Rd and Mary Ave.

Langley Good Times Cruise In

The Langley Good Times Cruise-In started in 1997 with a small group of merchants and business people from the City of Langley. The event has grown from 430 vehicles registered in 1997 to 1,532 registered vehicles in 2002. Even on a cold, wet day in 2000 saw over 1200 vehicles come out to support the event. The “Cruise – In” has become one of the largest mixed car shows in Canada and one of the Top 10 in North America according to Dennis Gage of My Classic Car. The event is quickly gaining an International reputation, drawing cars and spectators from across Canada and the United States.

Visit the Cranberry Bog (Langley)

The Riverside Bog is just outside of Fort Langley. It opens for tours in late September as the cranberry fields are harvested for Thanksgiving.

The cranberry bog farm tour includes a stroll around the farm watching the harvester machine working, a self guided audio tour, the cranberry plunge, antique cranberry cleaning machine and a shopping opportunity at the farm boutique. This it the only place in the Fraser Valley where you can wade into a cranberry bog! After the bog, drive 5 minutes into Fort Langley and enjoy one of these great restaurants.

Take a Wine Tour

One weekends in September, grab a date or a friend and take a wine tour in the Fraser Valley The Tour picks up from Vancouver and takes you into the Fraser Valley (about 45-60 minute drive). Then, get to know the Fraser Valley, just outside Vancouver, on this 5.5-hour tour that hits three area wineries. With a small group of 15 passengers or fewer, take in views of British Columbia’s largest agricultural area and taste several wines. A light lunch is included. Enjoy a light lunch of cheese and charcuterie platter at a local winery.

The Fort Langley Village Farmers’ Market is an authentic B.C. Farmers’ Market and features Local Organic Farms and Certified Safe BC Prepared Food Vendors. It is one of the popular things to do in Langley! Vendors offer fresh local produce, field greens, vegetables, fruits, fresh baked bread & pastries, fruit pies, fresh baked cookies, organic honey, local craft beers, varietal BC wines & Spirits, tasty prepared sauces & salad dressings, BC Fruit jams and pickles, all made with BC grown produce from our local Fort Langley & Langley Township, Fraser Valley, Similkameen, Okanagan & Creston Valley Farms. Abbotsford Food Truck Festival

The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival visits Abbotsford in September. This is a popular Fraser Valley event and one where you want to bring your appetite!

Campbell Valley Wine Run

The Campbell Valley Wine Run & Ride is in support of Pacific Riding for Developing Abilities! All proceeds from this fun, costumed, 10ish km event through the scenic trails of Campbell Valley Park go towards PRDA’s work of providing therapeutic horseback riding for individuals in our community with wide range of challenges.  The run includes complimentary wine tastings at three wineries OR Ride with the Fraser Valley Hunt starting at Histed Farm enjoying local wine at the PRDA party!

Post run party at PRDA includes complimentary charcuterie box & beverage of choice, souvenir wine glass, wine & beer available for  purchase by the glass, Brock Phillips Music, PRIZES for team & individual costumes and more!

Maan Farms Haunted (Fall)

Maan Farms Haunts, the creators of the Scariest Corn Maze in Canada, are back at it,
bringing four dedicated experiences for 2022: Homestead, The Way Down, Slaughterhouse, and Midway.

Seasonal treats include wine-filled ‘blood’ bags at the Blood Bar, Naan Tacos, Mad Jack Pumpkin Spice wine, and Creepy Cloud Cocktail along with signature favourites, such as the Double Pumpkin SpiceCream, field-to-plate pumpkin pie, Pumpkin Spice Mini Donuts, and Mama Maan’s legendary butter chicken bowls, samosas, and chai tea.

Surrey Urban Farmers Market

The Surrey Urban Farmers market is located at Royal Kwantlen Park. The 2022 season is Saturdays 10am to 3pm, June 11 to October 8. The Surrey Urban Farmer’s Market is a vibrant, multi-cultural non-profit Farmers Market, promoting local farmers big and small, food producers, artisans, community groups and entertainers for the benefit of our diverse community.  They host live entertainment, community workshops and kids activities while providing a shopping experience that is unique and memorable, allowing guests to meet face to face with farmers, producers, artisans and entertainers.

Fall at the Farm Pumpkin Patch and Adventure Centre

Maan farms is one of the best pumpkin patches in Abbotsford! It features seasonal treats, the barnyard adventure centre, a corn maze, haunted nights and of course, the star of the show, pumpkins! It is open daily Sept 17th to Oct 31st!
